Also in November, the orchestra will play Rossini’s well-known “La Gazza Ladra” and Bizet’s “Symphony No.1 in C Major.” Featured soloist will be Seattle Symphony’s Artur Girsky performing Mozart’s “Violin Concerto No. 5 in A Major.”

In January, the orchestra opens the new year with “The New World” with returning violinist Cordula Merks featured in the Sibelius “Violin Concerto in D minor.”

In March, the symphony presents “A Russian Evening” with Russian pianist Alexander Ardakov returning to perform Grieg’s “Piano Concerto in A minor.”

For the final concert in May, the symphony performs works by Brahms with soprano Christina Kowalski performing selected opera arias.
