Learn the basics of mushroom hunting from Scott Chase, retired Washington State University Extension program coordinator, 7 p.m. Sept. 21 via Zoom.
Chase will explain the interdependence of mushrooms with trees and plants, showing how mushrooms not only provide nutrients, but also serve as the Internet of the forest by allowing plants and trees to communicate and signal danger. He’ll also demonstrate how to use mushroom spore prints to create a fun activity for the whole family.
