Do robots bleed? We’re about to find out as “BattleBots” returns for another season of brutal mayhem and heavy metal thunder. 8 p.m., ABC.

“Queen of the South” is a gritty new adaptation of Arturo Pérez-Reverte’s best-selling novel “La Reina del Sur.” It’s about a lowly Mexican money changer (Alice Braga) who becomes a cutthroat drug cartel boss by teaming up with an unlikely figure from her past. 10 p.m., USA.
