EVERETT — A man was killed in a shooting Wednesday night near Silver Lake in south Everett, police said.
Around 7:45 p.m., witnesses reported shots fired in the 1700 block of 121st Street SE, according to the Everett Police Department. When officers arrived, they found a man in his 40s with gunshot wounds, said officer Natalie Given. Officers tried life-saving measures, but paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Police closed the road as they investigated. Two police dogs and a drone searched the neighborhood, but didn’t find anything.
As of 2:20 p.m., investigators still hadn’t identified a suspect, Given said. No one appeared to have witnessed the shooting. The Major Crimes Unit was reportedly processing the shooting scene all night.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the deceased man.
