EVERETT — Two people and a dog were displaced after a house fire Saturday night in the Silver Lake neighborhood south of Everett.

South County fire crews received a report around 8:50 p.m. of a fire in the garage of a house on the 3300 block of 113th Street SE.

When firefighters arrived, both cars in the garage were engulfed. The fire spread into the attic, causing some damage to the living quarters, according to South County Fire spokesperson Leslie Hynes.

Crews were able to get the fire under control “before it caused major damage,” Hynes said. No injuries were reported.

Everett Fire and Snohomish Regional Fire and Rescue crews also responded.

The Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s Office was investigating the fire’s cause.
