DARRINGTON — Two people were hospitalized Sunday afternoon after crashing on a motorcycle along Highway 530 west of Darrington.
They were westbound on the highway around 4:25 p.m. when the motorcycle went off the road to the right, according to the Washington State Patrol. The passenger, a 47-year-old woman from Fallon, Nevada, and driver, a 39-year-old Oak Harbor man, were ejected from the Harley-Davidson.
Both were wearing helmets and taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.
Alcohol or drugs were suspected to have been factors in the crash, according to the state patrol. The exact cause was under investigation.
