EVERETT — It’s been two weeks since Damien Navarro was shot to death, and detectives have yet to publicly identify any suspects.
On March 6, Snohomish County sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of a large fight with shots fired around 1:30 a.m. in the parking lot of 128th Billiards at 617 128th St SW, just south of Everett.
Deputies found the body of Navarro, 31.
Last week, loved ones of Navarro organized an online fundraiser to help with funeral costs.
“Damien was a son, a brother, and most importantly a father,” reads a brief obituary on the fundraiser page. “Those that knew him know he was an amazing person with a smile to match and would do anything for the people he loved.”
Navarro’s family plans to lay him to rest in his home state of California, the obituary says.
Detectives continue to investigate the case as a homicide, sheriff’s spokesperson Courtney O’Keefe said.
They seek the public’s help with videos, pictures and other information to better understand what happened that morning.
