Staggered start times were set to go away for many shift workers at Boeing’s Everett plant starting Monday. If you work there and are wondering how to avoid a traffic crunch, local transit agencies offer a “Going to Boeing” brochure.
The brochure includes maps that highlight the myriad bus routes serving Boeing, popular bicycle routes, and Boeing shuttle routes. Transit bus schedule tables also are included.
Local transit agencies also encourage vanpool or carpool options. You can find carpool partners at www.rideshareonline.com.
Boeing employees can get an extra $60 a month in their paychecks to cover public transportation expenses. To learn more, employees should log into TotalAccess at their worksite (“Commuting” under “Life & Community”) or call the Boeing Commuting Office.
The benefit program includes a guaranteed ride home by taxi in case of a personal or work emergency on a day you aren’t the carpool driver.
