Hot tub Make-A-Wish comes true
The Make-A-Wish Foundation recently helped to grant the wish of 5-year-old Dylan Klepper of Arlington.
Klepper is currently undergoing cancer treatment and wished for a hot tub because he loves the water. On Aug. 23, the family hosted a party at their home.
The tub was provided by Orcas Spas and Marquis Spas. Rick Nevitt and Brian Carlson at the Burlington branch of Crystal Springs donated the 350 gallons of water to fill the tub.
Klepper said he plans to use the new hot tub in the summer as a swimming pool.
United Way gets $97,000 from AT&T
AT&T Mobility recently donated $46,626 to United Way of Snohomish County. The donation was from the company’s foundation and tops off a year of fundraising to benefit United Way and the health and human services it supports countywide.
All together, AT&T Mobility and its employees at the Bothell location have raised more than $97,000 for United Way of Snohomish County in the past 12 months through its annual campaign, corporate gift and monthly fundraisers.
“During a time when so many families are struggling to meet the most basic needs, the ongoing support of AT&T and their employees is an incredible gift to the community,” Carl Zapora, president and chief executive of United Way of Snohomish County said. “United Way’s promise is that it will go to making the greatest impact possible for people here in Snohomish County.”
