Car crashes into barrier, driver dies on I-5 in Lynnwood

The vehicle hit the concrete barrier then stopped in the roadway, where another car struck it.

LYNNWOOD — A car crashed into a barrier and another car on I-5 and one person died Sunday morning.

A driver was on southbound I-5 near 212th Street SW in Lynnwood when the vehicle collided into a concrete barrier around 5:15 a.m., the Washington State Patrol said. When the vehicle stopped, it was hit by another vehicle.

The second driver was not injured.

Identification of the person who died was pending notification of family.
