Forest View Elementary School is No. 1 in the state and No. 2 in the nation for a You Can Do the Rubik’s Cube Speed League.
At a May 19 state competition in Snohomish, the team solved 25 three-by-three Rubik’s Cubes in 2 minutes, 38 seconds. During individual contests, classmates Jonathan Truchot and Logan Wiltse finished first and second, respectively, solving the puzzle in 9.05 seconds and 21.50 seconds, respectively. Truchot also is ranked nationally at No. 1 among elementary school students.
Other team members were Alexander Pham, Baxter Holland, Caleb Kook, Drew Middleton, Joshua Lumbab and Max Thoman.
