WHITE PASS — The wreckage of a skydiving plane has been recovered from the mountainside near White Pass where it crashed almost a week ago, killing all 10 on board.
It took several trips for a helicopter to fly remnants of the Cessna Caravan 208 off the mountain on Saturday.
Investigators will examine the wreckage at a hangar in Seattle.
The plane crashed in thick timber near the Goat Rocks Wilderness Area on Oct. 7 as nine skydivers and the pilot were returning from a weekend skydiving trip to Boise, Idaho.
Authorities plan to release a preliminary report on the crash soon, but say it will take months to determine what caused the crash.
