EDMONDS — The city of Edmonds is closing municipal buildings to the public, Mayor Mike Nelson announced Thursday, citing the rise in COVID-19 cases across Snohomish County.
City Hall, the police department business office and Frances Anderson Center will all close indefinitely starting Friday.
“I understand these closures may be an inconvenience, but we must prioritize the public’s safety during these times,” Nelson said.
City staff will continue to offer services by email, phone and online. Residents can make utility payments online, or checks can be dropped off at a drop box outside City Hall, at 121 Fifth Ave. N.
Additionally, all City Council and board and commission meetings will be held virtually.
