MONROE — No one was hurt when a flatbed truck carrying a box truck hit an overpass Tuesday afternoon in Monroe.

Both lanes of W. Main Street were blocked from about 12:30 until about 3 p.m. after a 57-year-old Arlington man drove into the Highway 522 overpass. The Washington State Department of Transportation deemed the bridge safe before the road below was reopened.

While leaving the incident, the truck got caught in cable and telephone wires above, on W. Main Street at Dennis Way. The truck was untangled and the man pulled into a parking lot.
