Nordic Fair is this weekend

The Daughters of Norway Ingeborg Lodge 43 holds its annual Nordic Fair with cultural traditions, craftsmanship, art and history, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Stillaguamish Grange Hall, 6521 Pioneer Highway, Stanwood. Find Nordic crafts and traditional Scandinavian baked goods for sale. A nisse, or sprite, will be available for holiday family photos. There will be lefse- and krumkake-making demonstrations, vendors, ala carte lunch options and more.

Get a jump on Halloween

A pair of early-bird Halloween events are set for Friday.

A Teen Halloween Party for youth in grades 6-12 is set for 7 p.m. Friday at the Mill Creek Library, 15429 Bothell-Everett Highway. Costume contest, games and snacks. Registration required.

The Everett Goblin Splash is at 7 p.m. Friday at the Forest Park Swim Center, 802 E Mukilteo Blvd. Games, prizes, refreshments and swim time. Admission is a nonperishable food donation for the Volunteers of America Everett Food Bank, or pay regular admission to benefit the Park Scholarship Fund.

Tales about killer whales

Plan for dinner

The Everett Boys & Girls Club plans a free public Thanksgiving dinner on Nov. 20, the Tuesday before the holiday. Dinners are planned at 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. The club is on 12th Street off Broadway.

A fusion of fiber at the fairgrounds

Fiber Fusion Northwest runs Saturday and Sunday at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds in Monroe. Find fleece shows and sales, demonstrations, classes, vendors, a live fiber animal exhibit, arts show, spin-in and more. Admission and parking are free. Hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

EvCC discusses election security

Everett Community College hosts a panel presentation about election security and misinformation campaigns at noon Monday in the Henry M. Jackson Center Wilderness Room on the campus at 2000 Tower St. The event is free and open to the public.

Free teen night at Schack

Schack Art Center’s free Teen Nights start Oct. 25. The sessions will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. one night a month during the school year. Teens ages 13 to 18 can create projects with local artists. This month’s projects are fall-focused. The art center is at 2921 Hoyt Ave., Everett.
