DECA food drive
Marketing and business students at Arlington High School are collecting food for at least 25 local families this winter. “It makes you feel good when you see how happy the families are to receive these donations,” senior Angel Cisnado said. People can donate non-perishable food or money until Dec. 12. More info: Tyler Payne at 360-618- 6300.

Meeting to discuss flooding: Snohomish County Public Works officials have scheduled a meeting Thursday to discuss a project to lessen flooding on Mann Road and Ben Howard Road south of Sultan. The meeting is from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Mountainview Christian Fellowship, 211 Sixth St.
Mann Road is the only access point for hundreds of homes in the area, and is susceptible to closures during fall and winter flooding.
The proposed project entails raising the road elevation at two locations on Ben Howard Road and one on Mann Road at Devil’s Elbow. The upcoming meeting will give people a chance to comment.
