Holiday open mic night: The Mukilteo Arts Guild is hosting a holiday open mic night, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Friday. Remembering holidays gone bad or good: Maybe it was a simple gift from a relative long gone. Or Uncle Jim doing the chicken dance after drinking too much schnapps. Or a trip gone wrong, a surprise visit from a special person or your mom kissing Santa Claus. What put the magic — or mayhem — into your winter holiday? Tell us about it. It can be serious, sentimental or funny. Write it in 100 words or less. We’ll publish selections on the Dec. 25 Good Life page. Deadline is Dec. 10. Please include a contact phone number. Send items to Andrea Brown at abrown@heraldnet.com or mail to Herald Features, P.O. Box 930, Everett, WA 98203. Questions? Call 425-339-3443.
