TULALIP — Detectives discovered human remains Sunday that could belong to a someone who went missing in 2018.
The skeletal remains were found near the 7900 block of 31st Ave. NE in Tulalip by a nearby resident who was building a motorcycle path in a wooded area.
The remains might be those of a man who disappeared from the area in 2018, the sheriff’s office said in a news release Monday.
The death does not appear suspicious, but Major Crimes Unit detectives will continue to investigate, the sheriff’s office said.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner will determine and release identification of the deceased as well as the cause and manner of death.
