ARLINGTON — One person died in a rollover crash that fully blocked northbound I-5 near the Stillaguamish River Bridge for more than two hours Monday afternoon.
The crash around 1:30 p.m. reportedly killed one person, but authorities didn’t immediately confirm how many others were injured.
The lanes reopened around 4 p.m. The state Department of Transportation advised drivers to still expect traffic as the crash caused a 10-mile backup.
Glen McCrory was driving north in the far left lane, when he saw a pickup truck speeding in the wrong direction passed him. Cars around him swerved to avoid the pickup.
“Soon after I could see car parts and a car flipping in rear view mirror,” McCrory wrote in an email.
During the closure, traffic was rerouted to Highway 530, troopers said.
