Police believe a Snohomish woman had a medical emergency that caused her to lose control of her pickup truck and crash Friday afternoon.
The woman, 71, was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett with a life-threatening condition, Washington State Patrol trooper Keith Leary said.
The crash occurred around 12:45 p.m. on Highway 92 less than a mile east of Machias, Leary said. The woman appeared to drive off the road.
No one else was injured.
