EVERETT — A man shot an alleged burglar trying to break into his home Saturday night, according to police.
The burglary and shooting was reported around 10 p.m. in the 3600 block of Tulalip Avenue in the Rucker Hill area of Everett, police spokesman Aaron Snell said.
“At this point in the investigation it sounds like someone attempted to burglarize a residence,” he said.
The gunshot victim, a male whose age was not immediately available, was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett. Snell did not know the gunshot victim’s condition.
Police were investigating the incident.
