EVERETT — A man shot and killed outside a house in north Everett last week has been identified.
Around 3 a.m. Nov. 22, a woman reported an assault with a weapon in the 2000 block of 26th Street.
The woman reportedly witnessed Randy Teall get into a fight with Robert Hamilton, 37, near the front porch of a house she was staying at. Hamilton shovedTeall, 51, with enough force to push him through a fence and Hamilton fell on top of him, according to a police report.
The woman grabbed a baseball bat and hit Hamilton to get him off Teall. She heard a gunshot, according to police.
Officers arrived to find Teall standing in the road next to Hamilton, who had gunshot wound to his chest, detectives wrote. Hamilton died at the scene.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office identified Hamilton Tuesday, determining he died of a gunshot wound.
The two reportedly knew each other, according to prosecutors. Their exact relationship wasnot made clear in a police report.
Police arrested Teall, 51, for investigation of second-degree murder. A judge set bail Monday at $200,000.
On Tuesday afternoon, Teall remained in the Snohomish County Jail.
