MOSES LAKE — A memorial service will be held Monday for the Grant County sheriff’s deputy killed in a one-car crash.

Deputy John Bernard was not on his way to an emergency and he was wearing a seat belt when his patrol car left a road nine miles south of Ephrata and rolled. The state patrol is investigating.

The memorial service for Bernard will be held at noon Monday at the Big Bend Community College gymnasium in Moses Lake. The service is open to the public.
