The Washington State Mock Trial championship was held March 24-26 at Thurston County Courthouse in Olympia.

The varsity team from Archbishop Murphy High School finished in fourth place out of two dozen teams.

Earning best witness awards were Hillary Longoria, Anthony Damitio, Elizabeth Mayans, Hannah Snider and Alexi Obillo. Best lawyer awards were earned by Hannah Lukomski, Lucas Dini, Anthony Damitio, AJ de Leon and Alisa Das.

Jackson High School also finished in the top 10. The team received the William L. Downing Core Values Award for displaying such Mock Trial values as honesty, sportsmanship and leadership.

Jackson teens earning best witness awards were Hannah Ouijdani, Rumi Gilani and Jessica Ramos. Best lawyer awards went to Steven Dean and Patrick Follis.
