The Monroe Rotary Club on Feb. 22, 2017, distributed a total of $15,000 to representatives of four community organizations. The Monroe Rotary Club distributed a total of $15,000 to four community organizations at its Feb. 22 meeting: $1,500 for animal care at Beck’s Place; $2,500 for Take the Next Step community resource center; $3,000 for the Monroe Boys and Girls Club; and $8,000 for the Monroe Public School Foundation.

The money was raised by Rotary members and friends at an annual dinner auction. This year’s auction is set for Oct. 28 at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds. More information is at www.rotaryofmonroe.org.
