Motorcyclists injured after crash with SUV in Lake Stevens

The two riders were taken to a local hospital after the collision at Highway 9 and 20th Street SE.

LAKE STEVENS — Two motorcycle riders had critical injuries Saturday night after a crash with an SUV.

The motorcycle and SUV collided at the intersection of Highway 9 and 20th Street SE in Lake Stevens. The riders were taken to a hospital in critical condition around 6 p.m., according to Lake Stevens Fire.

Traffic on 20th Street SE was closed in both directions while the scene was investigated. The Washington State Patrol and Lake Stevens Police Department were investigating the wreck’s cause.
