MUKILTEO — People hoping to take Sounder commuter rail from Everett to Seattle will need to find a different way after a mudslide.
Sound Transit announced late Monday night the Sounder north line cancellations of Tuesday and Wednesday service because debris on the tracks between the Edmonds and Mukilteo stations. Because of the rail line’s holiday schedule, the agency said, Sounder service won’t resume until next Monday — barring another slide. Landslides have been a consistent problem for the tracks below seaside bluffs.
Special bus service was arranged for passengers at Sounder north line stations, or they could use regularly scheduled buses.
