Mukasey feeling better, returns to work

WASHINGTON — Attorney General Michael Mukasey has gone back to work after a night in the hospital and a series of tests after collapsing at a Washington dinner.

Mukasey, he was given a “clean bill of health” by doctors, was wearing an overcoat and carrying his briefcase when he climbed out of a black sport-utility vehicle at the Justice Department.

Accompanied by his wife, Susan, the attorney general was escorted to an elevator.

In an e-mail to agency employees shortly before he left the hospital, Mukasey said that all tests had come back with good results.
