New rides for troopers on two wheels

OLYMPIA – You’ll be seeing different police motorcycles on the highways.

The Washington State Patrol is transitioning out its BMW motorcycles for the Honda ST 1300 PA, Sgt. J.J. Gundermann said Friday.

There are 43 full-time motorcycle-riding troopers in the state, he said. About a quarter of them already have their new rides.
