SEATTLE — The Washington state ferry service says a shipyard delivered the new ferry Kennewick on Monday.
It’s the third of three 64-car vessels built under contract with Vigor, which took over Todd Pacific Shipyards.
The Kennewick follows the Chetzemoka that went into service last November and the Salish that went into service in July.
State ferry maintenance crews will outfit the Kennewick at Eagle Harbor. After crew training and sea trials it should go into service in mid-January on the Port Townsend-Coupeville route.
