EVERETT — A Lynnwood man who died while crossing Highway 99 on Sunday night has been identified.
Just after 11 p.m., Donaldo Perez Perez, 35, was crossing west to east on the thoroughfare when a vehicle struck him at the intersection with Airport Road, Everett police officer Kerby Duncan said.
The Lynnwood man was killed immediately. The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office determined he died of blunt force injuries.
The driver was cooperative with police and showed no signs of impairment. No arrests were made.
Perez Perez was the third pedestrian to die on Highway 99, also known as Evergreen Way in Everett, in the past five weeks.
