SULTAN — A police dog helped find a man who was hiding from police in a shed.
An officer attempted to stop the man just before 4 p.m. Thursday as he was driving on U.S. 2 near Old Owen Road, Sultan interim Police Chief Rick Hawkins said. The officer recognized the 18-year-old Sultan driver, who has a felony warrant.
The man stopped, abandoned his car and ran away, Hawkins said.
A police dog located the man near an adult-living mobile home park about 25 minutes later. He was hiding in a shed some 200 yards away from where he had stopped his car, Hawkins said.
“The residents of the mobile home park were very helpful to the police,” Hawkins said.
