MONROE — A person was found dead with stab wounds and two others were injured early Sunday morning at a residence in the 600 block of Terrace Street.
The deceased person’s roommates found the victim when they arrived home, the Monroe Police Department said. They also found the suspect, who was covered with blood and had two knives.
The suspect and the roommates fought, resulting in lacerations to two of the roommates before the man was restrained and police arrived. A 28-year-old Monroe man was taken into custody, police said.
The injured roommates were treated at EvergreenHealth Monroe and released.
Police did not disclose the age or sex of the victim. The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause and manner of death and release the victim’s identity.
The case is under investigation.
