Sultan woman dies after vehicle crashes into tree

She was driving north on 311th Avenue Southeast when the vehicle left the roadway Friday night.

SULTAN — A Sultan woman, 20, died after a crash Friday night on 311th Avenue Southeast.

She was driving northwhen her vehicle lost control, left the pavement and collided with a tree in the 16000 block, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office. She had to be extricated from the wreck and was hospitalized at Providence Regional Medical Center, where she died later.

Detectives are investigating the cause of the crash.

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the woman and determine cause and manner of death.
