INDEX — For the second time this month, a person went missing in the Skykomish River near Sunset Falls.
A 25-year-old Texas woman was with family at the river about 8 p.m. Tuesday. “She disappeared from the rock she was sitting on,” said Shari Ireton with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.
Crews on Wednesday continued to look for the woman.
“This is the same area a 49-year-old man went missing from on June 17,” Ireton said.
The search for the man was suspended after rescuers scanned the area in a helicopter and kayaks. He has not been found.
