LYNNWOOD — Flooding from sprinklers triggered by a kitchen fire displaced 10 adults and 11 kids from a Lynnwood apartment complex Tuesday, fire officials said.
Just after 4 p.m. Tuesday, a small kitchen fire broke out in an apartment in the 20000 block of 44th Avenue W, said South County Fire spokesperson Scott Harder. The fire set off the sprinklers in four units.
The sprinklers caused flooding and water damage, displacing the residents, Harder said in an email Wednesday.
The Red Cross was assisting the displaced residents.
