BELLEVUE — Fire officials say A 66 year-old woman died at the scene of a Sunday evening fire at a senior housing complex. Bellevue fire department crews found her in the kitchen of her apartment at Windsor House. There was minimal smoke and structural damage to the rest of the complex.
Residents in the three-story building have been allowed to return to their units after being forced to evacuate for two hours. A nearby hotel helped shelter them while fire crews were working.
The building’s automatic alarm alerted the Bellevue Fire Department. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
