Acknowledge talent, but get a grip

Now I won’t deny that Michael Jackson had singing/dancing talent, but does he really deserve the extreme idol worship being showered on him from young and old alike?

Here was a rather simple soul who thought it might enhance his “worth” by distancing himself from his race and gender through multiple facial surgeries, cosmetic treatments and varying shades of lipstick. This idolization he is continuing to receive via TV and media coverage suggests that those accepting the inflated descriptions of his life need to get a grip on reality.
