In good with dad. Jenna Bush, one-half of the Bush twins, is engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Henry Hager.
As with any important position within the Bush administration, Hager was selected from the ranks of those who proved their loyalty by serving on the Bush re-election team. Jenna’s lucky; Alberto Gonzales was originally on the short list for the job.
If you look out the windows to your left … A volcano in Alaska that’s on the verge of a major eruption could disrupt international air traffic, because it’s dangerous to fly jets through ash plumes.
So you can add plate tectonics and vulcanism to the list of airline excuses for canceled flights and lost luggage. “We’re sorry, but the volcano gods demanded a sacrifice of checked luggage. Thanks for flying Aggravation Air.”
Blog the vote. The state Public Disclosure Commission is looking into how it might regulate bloggers who are paid to plug candidates for public office.
The Buzz, of course, would never stoop to taking money from a candidate in exchange for a positive word in our blog. Nor would we get engaged to a candidate’s daughter. (Mrs. Buzz wouldn’t understand.) But we might consider an ambassador post.
