2 Live Flu?

Sneeze Doggy Dogg: The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is sponsoring a contest for the best YouTube video that educates people about swine flu prevention. One New York doctor has entered a rap music video.

To top the doc, you’re going to have to find a rhyme for “oink.”

We’re gonna need a bigger side of tartar sauce: The state Department of Fish and Wildlife is giving commercial fishermen the go-ahead to keep and sell the Humboldt squid that they catch in their nets as they fish for salmon.

As Humboldt squid can reach 6 feet in length and weigh more than 100 pounds, the next time you dine at a seafood restaurant, save any leftover calamari rings for use as personal flotation devices on your boat.

Cheaper by the dozen: The Seattle Seahawks started their season at home with a win, thanks in part to a second-quarter bumble by the St. Louis Rams special teams unit, who left 12 players on the field during a Seahawk field goal attempt. The kick was blocked, and a Rams player ran the ball back for an apparent touchdown, only to have it called back on the penalty.

We knew the Seahawks depended heavily on Qwest Field’s famed 12th Man. We just didn’t figure he’d be playing for the Rams.
