Commentary on nursing shortage explained problem well

At my age I am grateful to have good insurance (too many do not), fantastic doctors, top-drawer clinics, and three nurses in my family to watch over and take care of me when my health strays. Which it does. I am still here to write this. I am very grateful to be so lucky!

I want to applaud Kelli Johnson for her comment in the Sunday Herald (“What’s behind the state’s shortage of nurses?” The Herald, Nov. 20). She hit the nail on the head with surgical precision. There is no “free lunch” in the budget. Just like everything else, you don’t get what you don’t pay for. Peoples lives and well-being in this case. Hats off to Johnson for telling it like it is!
