Couple’s deaths from covid were avoidable

The article published last month about a doctor’s conversation with a dying covid patient could have been written about two married family members.
Her only health issue was gout and he had undergone treatment for a heart condition some years back. She had covid pneumonia and went into the hospital on Jan. 1. He had covid and went into the hospital on Jan 7. They were both placed on oxygen.
I don’t know what the doctors and nurses may have said to them, but it was probably pretty close to what this article said.
When they tried to remove her from something she was on, she went into anxiety (mentioned in the article). So they had to give her meds to calm her down. But they wanted her to wake up and stay awake.
As both got weaker, their oxygen levels dropped until the inevitable was near.
They moved him to her room. She could not move, he could not talk. He wrote love notes to her and had their daughter read them which made the nurses cry.
She passed away on Jan 19; and he 26 hours later. She was 77, and he was 69.
They were both too young and both made the choice to not get vaccinated.
