Deputies I’ve talked to support Sheriff Fortney’s reelection

I do not know or have ever met Sheriff Adam Fortney. I do not even know any current deputy sheriff. I am a retired Snohomish County deputy sheriff. I worked under three different sheriffs. The first, Don Jennings, was good. The second was also very good. Not so much for the third who came from Seattle Police Department who was more interested in politics then fighting crime.

When Adam Fortney was elected sheriff, I followed what he did while he was in office. I got into the habit of when I saw a deputy pulled off the road (if it was safe), I would show him or her my retired deputy sheriff card and asked how the sheriff was doing, I asked a lot of deputies. The last deputy was about a month ago. I even asked a deputy who quit and was going to move to Florida. I got the same answer that he is doing a good job.

I was expecting at least one or two would say something negative but not even one. One thing for sure, I went out of my way to get to the truth. No one that is supporting the other candidate ever asked other deputies how Fortney was doing. If they did, they would not like the answers. If you want someone who is a politician, do not for Fortney. He speaks for himself, not for politicians. Vote for Sheriff Fortney
