Ivyleaks: A Harvard University fellow studying ethics is accused of hacking into the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s computer network and stealing nearly 5 million academic articles from a subscription service he planned to leak on a file-sharing website, presumably under the belief that “information wants to be free.”
Information can be free; the Harvard student may have to do some time.

It’s in Eastern Eastern Washington: It appears Ohio Congressman Dennis Kucinich, D-No Fixed Address, has settled on a move to Washington state to run for Congress with the coming elimination of his Ohio district.
State Democrats, who aren’t exactly crazy about the idea of a carpet-bagging candidate, have offered to take the congressman house-hunting. In Boise.

With friends like these: The Seattle Sounders soccer team will play the storied Manchester United Football Club in a match tonight at CenturyLink Field in Seattle. The competition is regarded as a “friendly,” meaning it’s an exhibition match that won’t figure in either team’s record.
Coincidently, the remainder of the Seattle Mariners games this season are now “friendlies.”
