Everett Council, Pos. 6: Return Bader’s civic-mindedness

What a pleasant surprise to see Scott Bader’s name on the ballot again this year. We were disappointed he didin’t run two years ago.

We’ve enjoyed observing his long involvement in our community even before serving as a city council member, since we knew him as a teenager, growing up next door.

Of course Bader has continued community involvement even while not on the council, most recently leading the effort to bring back the 4th of July Parade. Perhaps this is why he supported by those across the political spectrum. And by both business and labor.

He recently assured us he will advocate for safe streets and neighborhoods, prioritizing public safety. He will show compassion for the vulnerable, and support treatment for those with mental health and addiction issues. He is exactly the kind of civic minded person, with integrity, we need back on the council. We urge our friends and neighbors to vote for Scott Bader.
