On Nov. 18, while sitting in the Everett train station waiting for the train to take us to Chicago, I realized that I forgot to bring any gloves with me and I might need a pair if the train stopped going over the Rockies and onward to Washington, D.C.
My voice must have carried as I looked around to buy gloves in the station, when an Angel in a red felt hat and red felt gloves came by me and put the gloves in my lap. I thanked her and protested I couldn’t take them from her. She insisted she had three pairs. I’m sure she didn’t have them with her and it was very cold outside. What a darling lady with a beautiful smile and beautiful generous soul.
Thank you, whoever you are. I’ve been wearing the gloves and keep them close to my heart, with hopes I can pay it forward to someone else, well, other than with these great gloves.
