They went that way. Slowly: Zoos in Colorado and New York have each reported escaped animals this week. The Bronx Zoo is missing an Egyptian cobra, while the zoo in Colorado Springs says its Indian Star tortoise is gone.
The cobra and tortoise have contacted a talent agent and are waiting for a three-toed tree sloth from Delaware to break out so they can begin work on a reality-based version of Disney’s “The Incredible Journey.”

I’ve looked at clouds from both sides now: Amazon.com is offering a new service where users can store music, video, photos and other files in its “cloud” of servers, allowing them access from any computer and certain smartphones.
Leave it to a Seattle-based company to suggest storing stuff in a cloud.

Running on empty: The state Senate passed a bill Tuesday that will charge owners of electric cars $100 a year in lieu of the gas taxes paid by other drivers. The state estimates most drivers pay about $200 a year in state gas taxes.
But the intended effect of the bill will likely only be temporary. The smirk is expected to return to the faces of most electric car owners once gas hits $4 a gallon.
