I read recent in The Daily Herald that several cities are willing to hire police and other government workers who have lost their jobs because of the governor’s vaccine mandate.
I was very saddened by this. These workers held out with the hopes it would turn out in their favor. What other necessary issues will they push to the limit?
What kind of employees will they be if they don’t even follow the governor’s leadership. Will they challenge everything that comes down in the department?
I live with cancer. When I call 911 do I need to specify, “please send a police officer who has been vaccinated?” Or an emergency worker who won’t make my life anymore complicated than it already is?
If they go into the vocation to be a public servant, then their job is to keep the public safe. Not expose them to more potential harm. Our taxes pay these people. We the public need to hold onto our money until we get the employees who will do the job we ask of them.
They are acting like spoiled teenagers.
We know those kids have to learn the hard way. But what are those fighting the vaccine mandate going to learn and at who’s expense?
This is the root of many problems. If adults act like this what can we expect their children to aspire to?
