Koster should run for executive

When John Koster was appointed to create an ombudsman position it seemed to be welcomed as a great move by the Snohomish County Executive Lovick. It is my impression that Koster was highly regarded by a huge number of politicians, the media and citizens for his fairness, honesty and integrity.

So now Koster will be replaced? Oh, this should be interesting. The hunt for someone better qualified is on. Perhaps they will “dig up” a Jimmy Hoffa type to fill the position. Perhaps Aaron Reardon might be considered since fairness, honesty and integrity are not part of the game.

If there is any justice in the world, the voters should consider John Koster as the next county executive. But then one wonders, based on the performance of that office over the past decade, just what are the qualifications for that job? Koster is overqualified.
