No picnic for pedestrians, either

Susan Martin was right on with the red light problems on Pacific. (Nov. 20 letter, “Everett in dire need of timing.”) Even worse than waiting for the light in a car is trying to cross as a pedestrian as those cars are racing through on that 30 seconds. Patience is at an end, whether you’re walking or driving.

Last year going north on Colby I actually drove right up to and through a green light. That has only happened one other time in my 17 years of driving in downtown Everett. I fully expected to be the lottery winner for the week after that kind of good fortune.

Seeing red too.
